为了便于海洋工作者查阅、了解、使用与本职工作相关的海洋国内外标准及国际标准，国家海洋局科学技术司组织编制了《海洋国内标准目录》。本书由四部分组成，第一部分是海洋领域现行国家标准和行业标准目录，包括16个领域321项标准；第二部分是涉海有关领域现行国家标准和行业标准目录，包括4个领域194项标准；第三部分是现行海洋国际标准目录，包括5个领域356项标准；第四部分是有关发达国家现行海洋标准目录，包括94项标准。
