矿产资源是人类社会生存与发展的重要物质基础,是一种有限的、不可再生的自然资源。矿物加工工程是矿产资源开发利用的一个重要学科,根据选别矿物的方法与原理不同,主要分为物理选矿、浮游选矿、化学选矿等选矿方法。随着优选经济一体化的高速发展,我国矿业经济和人才培养的对外交流与合作也在不断增加,对矿物加工工程人才更是提出了越来越高的要求。为了适应新形势下人才培养的要求,编者在参考靠前外大量文献资料的基础上,结合课题组多年积累的专业知识和研究经验,编写了英文版的物理选矿概论——Introduction of Physical Mineral Processing,旨在使矿物加工专业人员通过《矿物加工概论(英文)》的学习提高专业外语水平。
